Totalitär – Ni Måste Bort! LP

Originally released in 1997, Ni Måste Bort! is the second full-length from Totalitär, one of the defining bands of Swedish hardcore and D-beat.

Across 19 tracks, Totalitär tear through fast, tightly wound hardcore built from distorted guitar, relentless drums, and shouted vocals, while taking aim at racism, sexism, capitalism, political dysfunction, media manipulation, and the grinding repetition of everyday life. The title roughly translates to “You’ve gotta go!”, and the record makes clear exactly what the band wants gone.

Formed in Hudiksvall, Sweden in 1985, Totalitär emerged from the lineage of classic Swedish hardcore while developing a sound that would become hugely influential in its own right. Ni Måste Bort! captures the band at full force: raw, direct, political, and relentlessly fast.

Originally issued by Finn Records, the album was later reissued by Prank Records and has become a cornerstone of the band’s catalog. This vinyl edition was pressed from the original mother plates with new metal plating at RTI, with reworked cover art by John Yates of Stealworks presented with metallic ink on a Stoughton tip-on sleeve.
